PLAY ON! - Workshops that provide children access to the performing arts with sessions designed to develop and nurture skills in writing, performance, music and more.
These workshops are designed to expose children to many of the theatrical, musical & physical elements that come with creating and performing a show. They also build confidence, encourage team work, fuel the imagination & provide participants with a huge sense of pride and accomplishment.
So, how does it work? -
Whether it’s over a day, a week, or regular drop-in sessions, the group work together to create an original show!
After a vocal and physical warm-up, the group put their heads together to come up with an original story to use to create an original piece of theatre!
Over the course of the session(s), the group writes the story and script, creates characters, composes and orchestrates musical numbers, choreographs dance routines, designs the programme, builds props... and then it’s show time!
The workshops can be done as one-day events, as weekly sessions, or as a run of consecutive days.
